Producing quality wine is our highest priority, which is why we have chosen to be heavily involved in the vineyards where we source our grapes, including our estates at Grape Creek Vineyards, Invention Vineyards, K Estate Vineyards, the Texas High Plains and our estate in Paso Robles, California.

Texas Hill Country AVA
Our vineyards are designed in blocks situated throughout our 100-acre site in order to take advantage of the best soil, air flow and high ground to help protect the vines from freezes. The entry and tasting room blocks also create a beautiful setting for our visitors. These Texas Hill Country AVA grapes are the stars of our Heath Family Estate Club.
Our estate vineyards generally represent grape varietals from warmer growing regions like the Rhone Valley and Madiran in southern France, and Colline Teramane and Basilicata in Central Italy.

Paso Robles Willow Creek District AVA
Heath Vineyards is situated in an unparalleled hillside terroir featuring perfectly suited soil and dramatic daily temperature swings. This setting supports excellent fruit maturity leading to rich, intense flavors and aromas.
Multiple micro-climates have been identified across the property.
Twenty-two acres of premium Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Cabernet Franc and Malbec are planted at Heath Vineyards. The vineyard is predominately located on southern facing slopes of limestone in the coastal mountains of Paso Robles, CA
Texas High Plains AVA
The Texas High Plains is the second largest AVA in Texas, with over 5,000 acres under vine. Characterized by high elevation (3,500 feet), long sunny days, cool clear nights and steady winds, the region is conducive to premium grape growing. The High Plains AVA supports over 75 varietals. Heath Family Brands works with top growers to source some of our most popular favorites like Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Viognier, Mourvèdre and Pinot Grigio.
Growers navigate challenges like late spring frost, summer storms and intense heat. In doing so, the grapes mature and ripen to proper sugar levels while the diurnal temperature swings preserve acidity. Our team is in the vineyards throughout the growing season, and this partnership supports our low yield viticulture protocols. Grapes and wine have been produced in this region since the mid-1970’s.
