K Estate Working Vineyard and Winery
Rooted in the heart of Texas Hill Country, K Estate Winery & Vineyards crafts award-winning wines that embody the rich terroir, heritage, and hospitality of Texas wine country. Nestled along the renowned Texas Wine Trail on Highway 290 near Fredericksburg, our estate vineyard showcases estate-grown Texas varietals including Mourvèdre and Roussanne. Guests and Wine Club Members enjoy immersive wine tasting experiences featuring our 90+ point wine collection, panoramic vineyard views, and the authentic charm of a family-owned, Texas winery. A premier destination for Hill Country wine lovers, K Estate offers a true taste of the growing Texas viticulture movement.
K Estate Vineyards
The vineyard has five different blocks.
Inspired by Texas’ diverse wine regions and unique terroir, K Estate (formerly Kuhlman Cellars) crafts proprietary blends that honor the unique soils and terroir of our estate vineyards. Our winemaking team continuously researches and experiments to harmonize climate and vine, reinforcing the agricultural essence of wine – connecting us all from dirt to barrel to bottle.
Heath Family Brand Wineries
Heath Family Brands includes Grape Creek Vineyards, Heath Sparkling Wines, Invention Vineyards and K Estate each featuring an estate vineyard and winery with a total of six tasting room locations across the Texas Hill Country.
- Heath Family Brands owns and farms 68 acres of beautiful estate vineyards in the Texas Hill Country AVA
- Purchases an additional 700 tons of Texas grapes annually

Our Winemaker
Jason Englert
Jason has been with Grape Creek Vineyards since 2004, helping the wine program grow from 2,500 cases to 60,000+ cases produced annually across all Heath Family Brands which includes K Estate, Grape Creek Vineyards, Heath Sparkling Wines, Invention Vineyards, Heath Vineyards and Jenblossom Cellars. Prior to joining Grape Creek Jason spent 8 years as the assistant winemaker for Llano Estacado Winery in Lubbock.
Jason’s focus is making wines from the highest quality selection of grapes and letting developing wines create their own path to the bottle. Jason and his team utilize both advanced and traditional wine-making practices.
Jason is the most decorated winemaker in Texas, having achieved more than 215, 90+ scores and over 2,000 medals from the most prestigious wine competitions in the country.

Brian & Jennifer Heath
Brian and Jennifer Heath purchased Grape Creek Vineyards, the flagship for Heath Family Brands, in 2006. With the addition of stunning Tuscan-inspired patios overlooking the vineyards and a vineyard dining experience at Stout’s Signature at Grape Creek, this quickly became a premier Texas wine destination. Since, they have expanded to four premier winery and vineyard estates and two upscale, urban tasting rooms in downtown Fredericksburg and Georgetown, Texas.

Not only are Brian and Jennifer committed to supporting the Texas wine industry, but they are also dedicated to investing in the Heath Family Brands team and their community. Heath Family Brands has grown from an original five employees to 150 employees through competitive pay, healthcare and company-funded retirement plans. They also contribute each year to a number of local causes and charities within their community.
So, what’s next for Heath Family Brands? Who knows. But we know something will always be on the horizon.
